Retama Bowl Nov 2010:
This bowl was the first bowl he ever had made out of Retama wood. The wood was harvested in South Texas in the Rio Grande Valley area. It has a natural edge and is fresh cut with some spalting and natural bug holes that give lots of character to this piece.
I loooove this bowl! I am so happy with it. It looks beautiful in my home.
ReplyDeleteThis retama was unusually large and was rescued from a brush pile in deep South Tx. It can now live on forever as "art" and be appreciated for it's natural beauty.
